Al-Ansar was created from a simple belief: our faith, our identity, and our style should never have to compete with one another.
As immigrants and minorities growing up and building our lives in America, many of us understand what it feels like to navigate between cultures. We are proud of where we come from, proud of the communities that raised us, and most importantly, proud to embrace our faith.
For young Muslim women especially, modesty can sometimes feel misunderstood. We created Al-Ansar to help change that narrative.
We want the next generation of girls raised in America to see the hijab as more than simply a covering. It can be a beautiful expression of faith, modesty, confidence, identity, and personal style. You should never feel that embracing your religion means giving up your individuality or your love for fashion. We believe the two can exist beautifully together.
